Large Picture Comments: 140 was the last Mi-24 'Hind' in service with the Bulgarian Air Force. Approximately 20 or so Mi-24 and Mi-17 helicopters are in open storage on the airfield close to the hangars. The Mi-24's require major overhaul and avionics upgrade but the chances of receiving the necessary funding seems highly unlikely.
