To All,

Yep, that was the Marines.  As for me, I've lived all over the US and a few places in Europe.  And I must say, I spent a few great weekends in Baldonnel in USAF C-12's (Lear 35s) before I came to the Herc.  The Irish Air Corps hospitality was top-notch and I plan on coming back as much as possible...  Thanks for some fine visits.

To All,

I'm not a Marine, but I think it's standard practice for the USMC Hercs to fly their squadron standard as they taxi out.  It's just what Marines do.  In this case I'm pretty sure the Jolly Rodger is the squadron standard, and that the boys had no idea that it would cause a fuss.  Sounds like the Herald was looking for a story on a slow news day.
