Irish Air Corps / RDF and what to do with them...
« on: December 22, 2004, 04:30:46 am »
Hello All,  Thats actually not a bad idea,  it would give members off the great unwashed something to do on there weekends.  The fresh air and the canteen food would do them all a heap of good.  I'am just surprised that the techies are still doing time in the guard room.  When I went on my much deserved ticket they were bringing in a platoon of new recruits to do such tasks.  I presumed that the techies were well off the guard room and fire picket duties by now.
After all these years in the guard room on them lonely weekends holding my old trusty FN keeping a careful watch for the duty officer I am sorry that I never let go a magazine in the direction of one of the blocks.   In the investigation afterwards just say that you thought you saw someone with a weapon running and you panicked and let rip.  Just stick to your story despite all the pressure they would but you under and it would be the last time you would do guard duty.  Well thats what I should have done but never did.

Don't talk to me about big sticks,  QF managment have being beating us with one for years,  costs costs and more costs.  We can get aircraft fixed in Pakistan for half that it costs us here and a quarter in Ethopia so pull your socks up and thank God you have a job, Blah Blah and more Blah.  But the company still makes a fat profit every year and the board vote them selves a nice little pay increase.   A few years ago we had to got a few 767 A Checks done over seas and when the tenders came back the cheapest one out there was supposed to be more expensive than what we were doing them for in Syd but they kept that quite.  No I seldom see J Kenny or G Gibney around.  Do you get to go home to the old sod ofton?  whats staff travel like in BA?  Shorter flight that what we have to live with living in the great South Land. Good for you Casper,  but how did you manage visa's etc etc especially at the present time,  have you got a green card or a Yank passport?   Are you still gainfully employed in the industry or have you moved on to better and bigger things?  What are you doing with all the Dolllars,  big car,  slow horses or fast women?   Cheers Stally.

When I mentioned PM, it was the top Engineering job in RAir that he was going for not BA.  Any other ex Donners working there?  Bumbed into G Gibney a few days ago,  he's looking good.  Stally.

Hi All,   What the Hell are all you old F**k wits yapping on about,  this is a ex-apprentice talk show where we slowly under mine the IAC and hopefully cause the whole place to close up and turn the Don into a private flying club where the well off can come and learn to fly ( some might say thats what it is at the moment).  The place treated us like dirt and took the best years of our lives leaving  us mere shadows of our former selfs.   We should only remember the times when we caused mayhem and destruction and maybe the times when we went into town and got pissed drunk and started fights on the bus home.  Well thats what I think! So keep in touch all you sad old B*****ds,   Stally
PS.    JK  is it true that our old friend Phil M  applied for the top job in RA.

Hello All,  Sorry I haven't being keeping in touch over the last few months but now that I'am back I hope to have worth while discussions with all my old buddies from the Don and especially the 48th App Class losers, if there is any of them left.  How is the Air Corps keeping?  have they got there new squardrons of F16/F15 that I have heard some much about and a fleet of new medium lift helocopters.  Let me know all the news   Stally.
