A mate of mine who was in the Fleet Air Arm told me that zapping was a regular occurance in the RN. They used to zap any visiting aircraft with spray paint and a stencil saying who they were!
And I remember Paddy Curley going ape when we put a small sticker of a muppet (I think it was Fozzie Bear) on the nose of a Fouga!

I heard a member of the Silver Swallows,at great risk to life ,limb and liberty zapped an F117 nighthawk at fairford '97.
Don't know if it was a pilot or a tech.
Anyone hear about this or better yet have a picture?
