Wheels up landing at Deer Valley - Phoenix

Hi Guys,

Some interesting pictures courtesy of John Meneely of a wheels up landing at Phoenix - Deer Valley Airport, as far as I know everyone got away ok:

Quote
Sequence of photos showing a PA-31 which made a wheels-up landing at DVT. The left main gear would not extend, and after about an hour of circling the airport, the pilot opted to make a wheels-up landing on the north runway (07L).

Good landing, but there doesn't appear to be any passengers except for the pilot(s)

hi all
The funniest thing is, the pilot probably gets paid not much more than minimum wage, to fly cargo in a Navajo.Come to think of it, so do new-hire Ryanair pilots on the -800.If it wasn't true, you wouldn't believe it. 'thumbsdown'

GttC,
I have to agree. Have a look at PPJN. They list all payscales worldwide. Its quite shocking. How is a pilot to fund his / her training and then live on theses wages. Good pay for junior FO seems to be like hens teeth!

On another point would it not be wise for the CRS crews to lay a foam blanket before the landing. Anyhow, great shots of somebody performing well dispite what was probably severe pucker factor 'thumbsup'
