PC-9 Formation over Dublin, 25 June

I saw a formation of four PC-9s making a couple of passes over Dublin city centre this afternoon - the noise would certainly get your attention, even above the normal bustle of the city.  Does anyone if this was for a particular occasion or perhaps a practice for a forthcoming event?

Hi SF,

They were practising for a flypast over McKee Barracks which is being held on Tuesday morning, time approx 11.15am.

The flypast is to mark the retirement of the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Jim Sreenan.

Sorry for not posting this earlier, completely forgot given the weekend that was in it.

Regards,

Frank.
