It's becoming an increasing rarity to hear the Alouette overhead these days. Are all 7 still being kept in regular maintenance or have the numbers been reduced?

Obviously pilot & ground crew training on the 135's & 139's is taking its toll.

I have forgotten the details, to be honest, but I know that a few of the A111's have definitely been stopped, and all the fleet is due to be out of use by the end of this year...
Having said that, I saw one heading south in Kilkenny on Monday afternoon, it was already past The 3rd Batn' s Barracks, so I assume it's destination was somewhere further south.
Ireland, no jets, no future!

There was an A3 flying over the Corrib on Saturday and Sunday, in Air Corp grey but it did not seem to have the Tricolour on it. Was this a private one?

Any idea why an AIII was doing the walks with 6 twins sitting in the hanger?

Guy's,

just a picture of "our" alouette III.
Picture taken on Volkel air show last June.
Our "birds" still fly in 300 Sqn and will be for the next decade.
The reason........?

Our Queen refuses to fly another helicopter than the Al. III.
This is NÓ joke !!!!!
