Hi all
Just seen on the gallery section of this site that the IAC had a Puma in the early 80's. How long did they have it and why get rid of it?, also what was the reason for getting it in the first place?

It was leased for a year to more or less get a feel for medium lift helicopters.i think the lease was for 2 years but it was returned after 1year. The Air corps then wanted to get 3 of them for SAR but instead bought the Dauphin.

I'd say it was more like the AC wanted 3 x Puma's but
the government
gave them Dauphins.
