RAF flypast
« on: April 01, 2008, 01:15:01 pm »
I have just watched the RAF 90th Anniv flypast (13:00 hours). It was the Red Arrows in V formation with 4 Typhoons tucked in behind them. They formed up at London City Airport then flew up the Thames, then turned right over Whitehall. It was a fantastic sight.

I suppose that you will claim that it was on your lunch break this time Flyboy and not wasting your employer's time!   :airforce_laugh: Would say it was a great sight, any pics?

Sorry Tony, I only had my phone with me and the pics I took were rubbish. I'm sure it will be on BBC or ITV this evening. There were huge crowds on the bridges and the river banks watching, the Red arrows trailed Red White and Blue smoke all the way up the Thames. I work beside Southwork Bridge, one along from Tower Bridge so I had a great view. The Typhoons look so much bigger than the Hawk when flown together.

This is the view I had, it's taken from the same bridge I was on.
