How much longer can they stay in service???
and the second part of my question is are Alouettes still being made in France? They certainly are a great helicopter. '<img'>

and for finish , the alouette III do a good job in france for mountain , sea , EMS operation

I hope not, they are out of production and due for retirement from french service in the imminent future, as great as they've been its time to retire them with honour rather than wait for them to become renowned as deathtraps, Baldonnel is running out of spares at the moment, however the french fleet will probably be sold for scrape so some penny pinching bloody handed civil servant will probably purchase parts for these instead of doing something morally justified.

yes , have to agree , in contrast to the gazelle(s) or
our version of the dauphin  , the u.s coastguard  version
being well suited for  its SAR role. '<img'>

I was down in Argintina back in 97, and out of know where I heard one. It brought back a lot of great memories of Ireland.
I would than get to see them a lot due to them being part of the Navy base in Argintina.  I think its a great helicopter indeed!!!! '<img'>

yes ,  IN FRANCE we use allreday for the CIVILIAN PROTECTION HELICOPTER UNIT (PROTECTION CIVILE ) AND FRENCH MOUNTAIN POLICE (military GENDARMERIE NATIONALE)
but the french governement order new helicopter for these 2 services 32 EC145
the first police helicopters go for training ans special  forces opération
the first PC helicopters go for training and PARIS PC team
