You got it on the head there Tony. All aircraft are self-servicing, no maintenance required. Just kick the tyres, light the fires and away we go!

Sounds like the typical officer to me. Met more then one of them over the years. Also met a few crewchiefs who thought otherwise. Seems aircraft can go U/S in the blink of an eye :p

I never realised how loud the Fouga was until the 4 aircraft of the display team started their engines in front of the crowd, we needed the ear plugs then!

They sure are loud and high pitched! Sure when the Silver Swallows used to start up you would be forgiven for wearing ear defenders anywhere in the Don!!

Hi JK. No we didn't get to go over with the PC9 to Northolt. Don't forget the "Kick the tyres,Light the fires" syndrom Who needs techies? Yeah still in the Don, lookin a lot worse for wear. No point in calling it a day, all I would do is stay at home and have to listen to herself give out. At least here I get paid to listen!!! The next time you're over give us a shout! That way I'll run and hide!

Hi Fouga. No the PC9 didn't go U/S, the serviceabilty is quite good on them now we have all the teething troubles out of the way. No for one or two day mostly static displays ground crews aren't sent. As for worse for wear its a toss up, but I think I'm the one who hasn't weathered well!!!
