Concord has been an occasional visitor to Ireland over the years, some were speical charters connected with the lotto, there was also a speical charter connected with the Ryder cup,[or some other golfing thing] that was before the Blanchardstown -M1 section of the M-50 opened, as I seen it from the old Airport road on my way to work.
I also remember seeing it, from my house as it was going into Dublin, that was about a few weeks befort the French crash, and very beutiful it was too.
I wish I had taken notes and more inportantly photos!

What a fine aircraft!, ill surely miss watching the bird and ill always regret not taking a loan out(ha ha ) to get a flip!, Maybe Bertie will concider it..(ha ha ), IAC pilots will want to buzz the tower!... hmmmm...

What a beautiful bird, an era of aviation Ends. A feat of Engineering and design. BA had Originally considered the Concord for the Long Haul, Hong Kong and Sydney Flights (4 hour Flight to Australia could you imagine?) But sadly Crusties in the 70's protested against the Sonic Boom over populated areas and JFK was the Only route to open up between CDG/LHR. The Costs of Producing the Aircraft and Its passenger Capacity lead to it never being produced in large Numbers when the more Economical and capacative 747 was introduced. I will always remember sunny summer evenings in Kerry hearing the Sonic Boom at about 7:45 every evening when I was a kid.
