Airworthy Fouga Magister
« on: April 16, 2010, 05:24:53 pm »
There is a nice two-page spread in the current edition of 'FlyPast' magazine about the Dutch based Fouga Magister display aircraft...owned by a Dutch aviation group. It is used to perform air display ..mostly at Dutch shows. Two nice pic with the article.

Would be nice if it could make it to an Irish show?

(Though it would be even better if one of our old Fouga's was restored for solo displays ..or even for ground (engine running) displays!;)

Had a copy of that issue but gave to Falcon 900 crew last week so cant check.

It would indeed Silver.

Was at the Silver Swallows final display, RAF Leuchars, 1997. Great display, the local growd actually clapped !

Hi Joe,

I double-checked the magazine article...the Fouga in the mag has a different reg number?
Re-reg perhaps? ...or a different Fouga?

If these guys are still flying they'd be a welcome sight/sound at punchestown too! Not least for the chance to meet the pilot on screen at 1:50, what a legend!

A couple of good looking manouevres, but their formation flying wasn't nearly as close as a well-rehearsed Silver Swallows display.
