50th Anniversary Anyone?
« on: December 05, 2003, 09:35:26 pm »
Once upon a time, the pilots of the IAC laughed when it was mentioned at the 30th anniversary that the Alouettes might make it to their 40th. With the Portuguese accepting that they will keep their Alouettes until their 50th, what are the chances of the original of the species outliving all other airframes (with possible exception of EC135) and making it to 50 years. Also, wouldn't it be something to have all eight airframes back serviceable, just to rub it in the faces of the French who are getting distinctly apathetic about supplying parts!
