Went down to Casement today just to have a general snoop around and try to snap any action with my camera. Any idea on where the best place around the fence where one can steal some good shots?

I found a good place by the enterance to Baldonnell buisness park but the park security moved me on because they thought I might slip and then sue SIAC. They thought I was a journalist looking for any US planes or possibly a protester. I'm just a fan of the Corps looking to try and take some personal photos/watch some action. Saw the GASU 135 come in which looked great and sounded even better.

Any spots would be apprecaited,

If you want to visit Bal', ring them , explain what you want, and a time will be organised.
While there is probally no danger from 'snooping' around, there is no advantage in it either.

This is beginning to sound like the "Grassy Knoll" in Dallas.  My advice get a hold of good camera lens if you want to take the photos from the N7 - other motorists however may think that you are a plains cloths garda on a speed trap!! Best get permission!

I would like to know of a good vantage place also (don't want to organise an official visit).

There is a mound of earth at the entrance to the business park (which I noticed a few months back) but I suspected that security would ask me to leave - as happened to yossarian - so I haven't tried to use it.

I have taken some photos from the N7 slip road (Saggart, Rathcoole slip road) but you would need a very powerful lens to get an good shots.

Any other good vantage points ?

'twas that very mound of earth that I was on, beyond it all you have to do is walk 50m and you'll be at the fence with an excellent view of the runway... just gotta avoid the rent a cops.
