No I think fly pasts are a good idea and a way to show off our equipment.  I thoroughly enjoyed the Easter parades and the centre piece of the D/H Vampires flypast over the GPO.  I think they would be a very good idea!

A flypast to show off our equipment! '<img'>
The IAC livin' museum takes to the skys, to remind everyone why the present government is the laughing stock of the world.
I do not think so!
It would be bl**dy short anyway.
ff, would you ever grow up?
Ireland, no jets, no future!

Turkey,
I am correct in thinking that you would be against fly pasts?
I personally favour them as it introduced me to the IAC when I was a toddler!  Great if that could continue for the next generation!

And what FF do you propose to put in the air that day. Mothballed Marchetti's Gazelles or Dauphin's because the Government jets will be gone out foreign.

And don't say the Cessna's of Coastal Command

The Cessna's will be doing their Annual Flypast over Balbriggan this year as always sometime between 1 and 2 pm.

Just around 1600 hrs four Fr172's passed over my home on their way back to Baldonnel, obviously after the Balbriggan fly past. Nice tight formation, perfect station, well done. The public should be able to see more of this , all heads were looking up and making favourable comments.

The Cessna's did a lot of flying up around Gormo Yesterday. Formation was very loose to begin with (the Guy in the slot was lagging.) The Most impressive thing was the Coast Guard S-61 from DUB a/p coming up the Coast at Skerries almost full speed then turning back at Red Island without slowing down much the Chopper was sideways above us at about 400 ft.

and again I didn't have a camera!!  '<img'>

I got photos of the flypast in balbriggan, but with a crappy camera and no zoom, the cessnas look like four distant crosses in the air '<img'>
