Hi Ishmi,

No problem posting the link (don't upload the software though), I'll even add it to the downloads section on the Air Corps section of the site.

Whoah! As far as I know the PC9 sim will be no motion and bugger all visuals, it's purely for procedures and IF. So any of you guys who thought you might get a spin in a sim, forget it. Imshi's game would give you a better ride.

We still are awaiting the delievery of the last of 8 PC-9's, and Pilatus have now released the replacement for the PC-9M the PC-21. Why did the govt not take out options on this aircraft when ordering the PC-9,as the RAF were in on the original design of this aircraft??

Pilatus: Its an addon (individual unit) for a military game called operation flashpoint.
To use it you will need operation flashpoint GOTY edition with the 1.96 patch.
It will feature the following loadouts:
1.Unarmed
2. CAS (Rockets and cannon[ the HMG doesnt really engage ground targets very well in OFP])
3. Anti-Helicopter (Stinger pods and HMG)
4. Strike (Cannon, rockets, MK82s)
5. Strike (as above but in camo pattern)
Bear in mind that the primary factor was game balance not realism although as you can see the model is pretty close to the real thing.
The PC-9 is just one unit in an in progress Irish defence forces pack and it will not be released on its own so you'll have to wait.

Be forewarned though don't expect LOMAC or CFS in the aircraft stakes, operation flashpoint is primarily about ground combat I only requested the PC-9M be made so that we could support our ground troops.

The African backdrop is from another addon pack.
I'll post the relevant links when the pack is ready for release.

Dublin Spotter,

I believe the PC-21 will be an unarmed aircraft and would not be available for quite some time to come.

Nice aircraft all the same !

thanks Imshi and Silver according to the pilatus aircraft company the first production pc-21 could be flying in 2006 if a customer could be found for it!the pc-21 can carry weapons it was designed for training pilots from elementary upto advanced pilot training which includes weapons!Dublin spotter this aircraft was not bought or even considered because the prototype had not flying that long and the corps wanted aproven aircraft as the pc21 was brand new who knows what problems it could have encountered and then the corps would have had 8grounded trainersthough the standard this plane is setting is brilliant and who knows in 20years an advanced derivative of it might replace the pc9's?!

I read on the Pilatus website a while back (ok maybe a year ago) that the PC-21 wasnt designed as replacement for the PC-9 type of aircraft, but to complement it. Seems to go against the common consensus though. That said the Austrians are apparently considering the PC-9 for themselves at the moment.

////

Bloody impressive images from that game I must say. Complements to all involved '<img'>

Anyone know why only four (out of six) of the hardpoints on the PC9s have been activated?

Also have external fuel tanks been ordered, and will the recce pods be integrated onto them?

The simulator is due in October. It's going to be fixed (i.e. no pneumatics to simulate aircraft movement), with (correct me if I'm wrong on this anybody) 150 degrees Field of View both left and right.

to activate all 6pylons the range and on station time of the pilatus would be seriously compromised so it would make better sense to carry a balanced load! '<img'>
