In fact one of the Alouettes should be used as a 'gate guardian' for the museum !

Best Air Corps aircraft by far !!!

We here in the Netherlands are givin' them away for nearly nothing.

We used to have a fleet of a few dozen flying around but most are sold and / or donated.

I would say that the most payed is about € 7.500,--

Some are still in storage waiting for a buyer.

Guinness, surely that price is incorrect, as that is the bargain of a life time as Ex French Army ones are selling for 250k Euro.
If that price is correct who do I contact to pick up one???

Did you see the Picture of 196 in this months Wings mag in lookks mint, fantastic great credit the the Air Corp.

Hey Clan,

Glad you liked the Alouette picture, I took that up in the Wicklow Mountains in January this year, one of my favourites.

Regards,

Frank.

Hi Frank, it is stunning, the A111, The woods in the back drop etc. I must say though the Quality of pictures in Wings is very good. I hope the magazine has a great Future.

If you can get one, in as good a condition as an Air Corp one, like seen in Franks pictures then it is a Bargain. It is a lovely helicopter. Maybe instead of the Silver Swallows, the Air Corp could set up a A111 Display team like the Dutch Grasshoppers.

Guinness I tried the site, but due to my lack of Dutch I could not find them

Yes, the A111s are certainly valued in mainland Europe. Two A111s were part of the fly-over at the Belgian national day parade in Brussels last Wednesday. Also three echelons of SM260s.

Other aircraft participating included F16s, C130s, Alpha Jet and A109 and Sea Kings. Flypast took place in heavy rain but otherwise was as good as many airshows.
