PC-9M weapons & Firing ranges ?
« on: September 02, 2004, 04:28:32 am »
Does anybody know what is the situation regarding the weapons fit for the PC-9's ?

I believe 260 was in Austria(?) to be fitted out with it's weapons systems.
Any updates ?

Also, now that Gormanston looks set to be sold for housing (well most of it), where will the AC carry out their weapons firing ?

260 is back from Austria where trials of HMG and FFR were carried out successfully.

All software for HUD SINGARS Etc now has to be finalised and certified for airborne use.

Even if they do use the Glen of Imaal, I'm sure the AC pilots would also be very keen to use the Wales ranges !!

I'm sure it would be good for them to practice over different territory.
