Hey Claudel, are any of the PC9s and crews going to RIAT? or the CASA? I'm heading up there on the Friday so I hope to meet up with you! Best wishes, JK

Hi John,

The CASA is going to RIAT, not sure about the PC-9's, although I think the PC-9's might be going to Farnborough the week after.

RIAT is looking to be a good show, are you going there for the Friday only?  I'm heading over the Friday, Saturday & Sunday, can't bloody wait!

Regards,

Frank.

Hey Frank, thanks for that info. I'm going with the Air Cadets for the Friday as it's an open day for us, (we don't pay in!!) any chance we could meet up? I'll send you my phone number if you want. Yes it looks like it will be a great show! I'd love to stay for the weekend but I've just been to France for a week with the lads on our motorbikes, so dissappearing for another weekend might be pushing it too far!
Best wishes, Frank, JK

Hi John,

Send me your number via PM and I'll reply with mine.

I won't promise to meet you cos I'm usually I'm like a man posessed at air shows, especially big ones, but I'll try my best!

Honestly though, it would be nice to meet up and put a face to the name.  I think I'd recognise you anyway from the picture you sent me and from seeing your face in one or two pictures in the Heli Wing building in baldonnel.

Regards,

Frank.

Hi JK

Sorry for taking so long. No we are not going to Fairford but we have sent a PC9 266 to Farnborough for the week. No techies went because Pilatus themselves are using the plane with our drivers along with the PC21.

Just for eveyone's info all the PC9's have been delivered as 260 came last Thursday from Switzerland after finishing the armaments trials in Austria. Just have to load up the final HUD and other software when it comes from Pilatus and then we can keep the Army happy with the guns and rockets etc.

Claudel,
Can you please confirm the date of 260's arrival ie 15 th July and do you have the time it arrived. Air Corps pilot or Swiss pilot? I just want to keep my directory up to date.
Many thanks
Tony K

Thanks, Claudel. I got a phone call from a mate of mine who lives on the edge of Allenwood bog and he said one of the PC9s was throwing some amazing shapes over his house the other day.
Do you load the software or do the coneheads do it?

Hi Lads

260 arrived with a Swiss pilot only and it was before 12:30. I'll have to look up the tech log later and give you a precise time later.

JK the Swiss people will do the up loading as far as I know because they have some special magic box which does the real thinking for them.
