Hey does everyone remember the great airshow at Baldonnel a few years ago with the Frecce Tricolori and tons of other brilliant aircraft..That really was a class show,certainly one of the best I have ever been to..

There display was dismal to be honest, even the smoke projectors were not working that well it was more of a spit of smoke every few seconds.

the best part of that show was the hanger party on the sat evening. the raf have some funny drinking game. the one i saw involved throwing your wallet over the roof braces of the hanger, the nimrod commanders wallet landed right on one of the braces. if your ever in the dauphin hanger ( at least it was then) look up and you'll probally see it.

So what sort of display did the Frecce Tricolori fly?? Was it along the lines of a Red Arrows display??

Kinda but they were more daring i was only16 or 17 at the time but even then i was not impressed with the display. Silver Swallows any day...any day.

I don't suppose anyone knows if the Air Corps are planning any more airshows for Casement in the near future?? I mean public displays.. '<img'>?

I was at that airshow but I was only 10 at the time. I was very disappointed with the Frecca Tricolori because they didn't perform on the Saturday and I travelled especially up from Cork.
I was also wondering whether there would be another display soon. I thought they would have one last year to mark the centinery of flight.
