Surprised nobody commented further on the flypast for the national day of commemoration on 10 July which got coverage on RTE TV news later on that evening ... the really interesting thing was that the clip of film was from above ... ie the Pilatus trio were flying below the camera ... this really is the most effective way to show a flyover so what was the platform from which the filming took place ... GASU/Alouette?

I`d say Dauphin. I saw the PC9s practice runs on several occasions in the days before the flypast(didn`t have a camera unfortunatly) and while they did it, a Dauphin hovered over the site.

Many thanks futurepilot, that sounds like what happened. I must say it was a fine bit of film with the landmarks on the west of the city below the formation as it cruised in ...
