There's an article in the latest edition of Phoenix magazine alleging use of Baldonnel by clandestine US military/Govt. aircraft.  It goes so far as to say that MD-11s and MD-80s have visited.  The usual attention to accuracy, I think, since neither type is US government use or has ever been recorded as visiting, not to mention the rather doubtful suitability of EIME for MD-11 operations!

Hi there
I think the "clandestine" aircraft they are referring to is a Gulfstream, which seems to have a flexible set of registrations and is, allegedly, being used to transport enemies of the USA to Guantanamo Bay, or so the conspiracy theorists will have you believe.

I think the MD-80's they are referring to are the C-9's that come in now and again. Trust me, they are not MIB's just weary US navy personnell rotating to and from Italy and using Dublin(Templebar!!) as a stop over.

Phoenix is a pro-shinner rag that frequently publishes rubbish. Grab half the contents of your salt cellar before reading it.

Why bother with Baldonnel when the US have got bases in the UK?
