Flights in AC aircraft...

Russia? I dunno, Thunder City in South Africa sounds better to me. Supersonic in a 2 seat Lightning!
Y'know, when I was compiling my list one flight stood out. It was in the HS125 and it was a pilot training flight, Jetter was in the l/h seat and we did one of those very high angle descents, I was sitting at the back of the aircraft and the flight deck door was latched open. I could see the runway through the front windscreen and it looked like we were in a vertical dive towards the threshold! He pulled out just in time and landed very fast onto the runway. Years later I saw some film of the Shuttle pilots doing a very steep approach in a Gulfstream to simulate the Shuttle landing and ours was every bit as steep, but I'm sure it was well before the Shuttle was operational. Needless to say we had our seatbelts fastened the whole of the flight!
