Is the Air Corps PC9M Simulator made up to resemble Baldonnel and Ireland or is it just a Simulated Airbase and Country?

The simulator replicates the cockpit of the PC-9 down to the ejector seats (although you wouldn't want to use them indoors!)

The scenery replicated every part Ireland (including NI??), with the airports and Baldonnel probably being a bit more detailed.

I'm sure if they wanted the scenery for any other country or location could be put onto the system and flown to / from / over.

As always I'm open to correction here as I've never used the simulator or seen it in action, I've only seen static images on the projection screen.

Regards,

Frank.

'The imagery that is projected onto the screen is based upon satellite and digital photography of the Irish countryside including the Baldonnel area. This brings a high degree of realism to operations around the airfield area.
Similarly the runways of all Irish airports, as well as those in the UK and a portion of Continental Europe are available.'
