Air Corps at Salthill
« on: June 09, 2006, 10:15:16 pm »
Hi Guys,

As you all know the Air Corps will be flying at Salthill and I just thought I'd fill in on a bit more detail regarding their participation.

The PC-9's will be flying as an aerobatic demo team, presumably with 4 aircraft

There will be a formation of Cessna's

There will be a mixed formation of Alouette III's and EC135's

The Cessna / Alouette & EC135 demo's could be the last time we will see these formations, the Cessna's are heading towards the end of their service (although some could argue this has been happening for the last few years) and the Alouette's could be out of service by the time of next year's show as all 4 AB139's should have been delivered by then.

As well as the above mentioned formations there will be a CASA flypast and either a Learjet or Beechcraft flypast.

The heli's will be on static display so make sure you pay a visit to the park for a look.

Not forgetting the country's other aviation unit, the GASU, they will have the EC135 & Defender on show.

There's a big turnout from the Air Corps & GASU, it's nice to see them flying the flag.

Regards,

Frank.
