Salthill Airshow and the looney left
« on: June 26, 2006, 08:49:09 pm »
I thoroughly enjoyed the Salthill Airshow yesterday (pity there wasn't as many fast jets there as I would have liked

- - maybe next year).

I was really p****d off by this 'AntiWar Alliance' and their antics. Reference 99 Red Balloons. May I suggest that

with slight modification these balloons could be transformed into prophylactics and handed out to the tree-hugging,

unwashed, looney-left so that the narrow mindedness will die out with their generation.

We live in a democracy and everyone is entitled to demonstrate against ideas, acts and legislation but propaganda

like this shouldn't merit the credence and widespread distribution that it has been given (http://www.indymedia.ie/article/76380). It is in the extreme a minority view.

No other airshow in the world has been the target of such vitriol and misinformation that the relatively small Salthill Airshow has been subjected to.

I just wonder, is there another agenda?

May I suggest next year that the friends of the Salhill Airshow hand out 9999 'modified' red balloons to the uninformed, unwashed tree-huggers. That way there will be even less next year!!!!

Looking forward to next year!

PS: More afterburner & reheat, please!

Rant Over.

The level of pollution generated by big engines (noise and emission) has no place in the pristine surrounds of Galway Bay.
