Harrier down!
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that a RAF Harrier GR9 crashed near Kidlington, Oxfordshire at approximately 1700 today, 13 July 2006.

The RAF pilot ejected safely.
We can confirm that, as at 1800, the emergency services are on the scene, and we are unaware of any injuries on the ground.
The single-seater aircraft was flying from RAF Cottesmore to RAF Fairford to participate in the Royal International airshow (RIAT).
The cause of the crash will be the subject of an investigation in due course.
Thank God he/she got out safely and nobody was hurt!
