Fantastic show, well impressed with all the helicopters. The Sea King had a huge kick to her on T/o, the Merlin guys deserve real credit for pushing her capabilities to her best and the Red Arrows, spectacular as ever. Not to forget the Blades, a very good opener and I hope they return in the next few years.

Nice to see a face Fouga! Good to know I'm not the only aeronut this side of the Shannon! Well done!

I thought the PC-9 display deserved special mention. It seemed to be a lot more dynamic and adventurous than last year, I especially liked the inverted flypast !

As for the Red Arrows, what can I say but   'buttrock' !

can anyone post the reg numbers of the merlin the sea king the F15s please!i have alot of pics to post but not sure of the regs!oh i noticed on the photos of the F15s i have they were carrying amraams! 'pilot_grin'

err, Fouga, as far as I can remember, the dummys are normally painted white.

Hi all
All training rounds are painted blue, to avoid confusion with live rounds.AAMs included.What were the other weapons? Cluster bombs? Mavericks? Wait til the antis find out! It used to be policy that no live weapons were carried, in public view, except permanently-mounted guns, on visiting vessels and aircraft and by personnel on foot.

The missiles were not live, the AIM-9's had blue bands around the body showing they were training rounds. The F-15's also carried AIM-120 (presumably) training rounds and ACMI instrumentation pods.
