Strange jet from Carnmore
« on: June 16, 2007, 10:13:24 pm »
Hi all

Just wondering if anyone would know the identity of a 4 engine jet that flew over Galway this evening at around 21.10 heading west.  It seemed to be at a couple thousand feet and climbing so I would think it was coming from Carnmore.  It would be about the size of a Herc.  I checked the timetables for Carnmore and there was nothing.   'pilot_rolleyes'  'pilot_shocked'

I think there is a new airline flying from Galway and Waterford this summer operating BAe 146's.

Starting to think that it might well have been a BA 146 after looking at some pictures of one.  Like Fouga says they haven't started yet, the end of this coming week I believe.  Maybe it was here for a photo call or something.

Hi guys,
Just to elaborate on this, a 146 was in Carrickfinn a few weeks back also, all white scheme I believe, wondering if its connected to the Galway flights?
Could be to do with the oil rig ops currently operating out of there at the moment but i'm not sure.

Cheers.
