What's wrong with this picture?

Hi Guys,

While looking up the Air Corps displays at Collins Barracks this evening I noticed this picture...

It's a big file but download it and have a look, see if you can spot what's wrong with the Vampire's wing, or at least see what's hanging off the bottom of it.

Hi Frank,
It is the underwing  boss, which is a decal rather than a paint job. I noticed that some of the surfaces were lifting on both aircraft, probably due to the atmosphere.
As an aside how do we uplift a picture on the forum?

Hi Tony,

When you are in "posting mode" below the text box you will see a link marked "Additional Options..." click on that and you'll see the file upload box.

I see it now, sorry I am getting worse. I sent another PM to you but it does not appear in my outbox so I do not think it went. What I wanted was for my e mail address to be hidden in my profile, thought that I had done all the right things.

Just spotted something else..Looks like someone put an anti-tank mine under the back axle of the Panhard!

I tried that but got the message" The upload folder is full please try a smaller file and or contact a administrator.

By the way, the National Museum prohibits casual photography by the public at Collins Barracks and their other museums - they claim copyright on all exhibits and images of same.  A special permit is required for any photography for research purposes and publication of images taken is also prohibited. So there! :thumbsdown:

They seem to have the port and starboard rudders going in different directions too!  :airforce_shock:

Well what would you expect, look at the attitude and angle .....heading for the 9/11 "tower"
