« on: September 26, 2009, 06:32:57 pm »
A C-17 just went over me gaf there, obviously flying into Baldonnel. Anyone know why? Couldn't tell if it was USAF or RAF.

It was "Reach 496". Later departed to RAF Mildenhall. Serial 01-0189, operated by the 437 Air Wing, Charleston AFB, South Carolina.   :yikes: :jaw-dropping:

What brought a C-17 into Bal? That's a missed photo opportunity anyway...

Would something that big make it onto the ramp?

I managed to get a couple of shots of it for the record but the light was very poor so they're not great

Still, it was good to capture the 1st visit of the type to BAL
