With regards to anyone getting a photo of the "Tactical stuff" with the rangers, that was a big "NO-NO". There was a civvie photographer who was promptly told where to go when he tried to snap them!!
It was up again this mornin for a while but havnt seen sight nor sound of it since?(Its not hard to distinguish the sound of it ,as its a loud muther when runnin up.You can hear it echo around the whole camp!!)

Just to update yis on the S-92 situation. At a recent meeting we were told that the S-92 is not an option anymore, with the emphasis now being on utility helis!! Im sure the S-92 could fullfill that role aswell!!??

Hi Guys,

I found a picture (I think) of the S-92 that was in Baldonnel recently, minus the tricolour on the intakes though.  This picture was taken in Scotland.

So in other words no military role for the air corps no expansion of capabilities and no improvements on the Army's logs situation.

Perhaps it just means that the current priority is to replace the Alouettes/Dauphins/Gazelle - with the medium-lift decision deferred for the moment ?!
