Current website issues - 16th September 2010

Hi Guys,

I'm currently having some issues with the WorldAirPics.com website, something funny is going on with my ISP.

For some reason http://www.worldairpics.com/ does not work but http://www.worldairpics.com/index.php does. So for now here are links that can be used to access the site:

Just to give you an update...

Looks like there's a big boo-boo with my ISP, lots of people are affected. Because of the way IrishAirPics.com and WorldAirPics.com are set up IrishAirPics.com is working ok (I think) but WorldAirPics.com has a few issues.

I could put a temporary fix in place but then my ISP would think there was no problem with my account and think they had rectified the problem so I'm leaving things as they are for now so the problem gets properly sorted.

I keep getting a "Forbidden 403" message whilst trying to upload photos, is this a related problem or any idea what's wrong?

I was notified about that error by another uploader and thought it was a once off but if it is happening repeatedly there could be something else at play.

I must look into it and get back on to tech support if necessary.

These errors are now flying in... My hosting service appear to have made some changes to their server that I was not told about, I think they figured there would be no issues, looks like they were wrong.

There's a few things not working now...

Afternoon Guys,

Just been in touch with support at my hosting company and they are looking into the issue. The form will work for some uploads but not all. Some changes were made in the background of the server by my service provider and they have affected me and other users. All I can for now is wait and see what they come back with.

Morning all,

The photo upload page is working as normal again as of 00.15 on the 22nd September.

The problems were associated with a server software update carried out by my service provider and apparently IrishAirPics.com / WorldAirPics.com was part of a subset of customers that had issues as a result of that update.
