The RNLAF Alu-III willl become difficult.
We only have 4 of them airworthy ( A-247, A-275, A-292 and A-301) They are currently based at Soesterberg AB and only used for arial photography and as Royal Flight.
I would be very suprised if they took the flight to Ireland.

Ofcourse for all you out there I do hope so !!!!!

All those responsible, take a well deserved bow. It couldn't have been done without you and those that taught you. If you consider that only 12 hours on average is available during the day to fly throughout the year, an Alouette has been airborne for 50 percent of the time that they have been in service with the IAC. The fact that this year stands out in terms of flying hours in the Air Corps general fleet and even in the Alouette fleet is testament to the hard work of all the technicians, inspectors and engineers at work today.

I am reliably informed that there will be a fly in of current Alouette operators in Europe to celebrate 40 years of ops here in the spring. The weather will be better and it gives some time to plan. Look forward to a visit from 552 sqdn Portuguese AF in the near future and hopefully the RNLAF too.
