MATS Pilots -

How are AC pilots trained for the MATS now that the Fougas have been (long!) retired ?

Are the current pilots the last of the Fouga-trained pilots ?

I recall hearing (c.1999) that an American pilot was flying the Gulfstream !

(No doubt FF will have something to say about this  '<img'> )

the last fouga trained pilots were in the 15th cadet class which was back in 1994, so only the most senior mats pilots are fouga trained. all the type specific training is done in france at flight safety then the guys come back to the don to master aer corps policy's and procedure.
