when are you going for the cadets? the reserves gives you a good knowledge of the army to apply at your interview.

You hit the bullseye ronan thats exactly why im joinig!i wont be applying for the cadets for about 3years at this stage going to collage to get some sort of qualification.also ronan the reserves would give you a good insight into the physical part of the cadet training. :

I was a member of the FCA for a while and we did no physical training whatsoever..I was very disappointed
