Dutch Navy Lynx crew captured in Libya
« on: March 03, 2011, 03:23:34 pm »
Dutch Lynx on a recovery mission for civilians in Libya was attacked. The Lynx ‘277’ is from the Dutch navy ship ‘Tromp’ I think?
The current status of the Helicopter is unknown, but more important; the status of three crewmembers is unknown as well. See below photo of the same lynx last week in Malta. Funny back in 1964 the Libyians also "captured" an MLD (Dutch navy) aircraft, a S-2 Tracker which was flown to Libya by a mechanic !

News footage of the Lynx as broadcast by a Khadafi-loyalist television station  clearly show the number "277"...

Video Pictures show crew of 3 (inlcuding at least one woman)
helicopter is on the beach, so close to sea. They didn't fly inland it looks.
Maybe thought a quick pick up on the beach.
