No problema Molloy, i know a lot of Theckies. But it seems to be Government Policy for the past few years to move over to using civilian techies more and more. I dont see that changing - I have no problem with that myself.

247 Came into Galway Hospidal on Bank Holiday Monday and i had the delight in meeting the crew for a quick chat, they had arrived to drop in a diver with the bends.

I just ahve to say that they are such a really really REALLY professional group of people and they deserve everything good that comes to them and more, they were a really kind bunch of lads and even offered me mc vities biscuits as i talked to them. There you go pure skill with chocolate biscuits!!

We should all be proud of these men and women, i know i am..are you?

They also said that they were in a rush to get back to finner for their pizza was in the microwave ha ha.. TRUE STORY. '<img'>

Nice to think that their lives are being put in danger for the benefit of the rich and poweful.

Depends if the helicopter stays in one piece or not, (no disrespect to techies) old or inadequate airframes are the name of the game.

I have the utmost respect for the aircrews for doing their job in spite of their employers, and for the groundcrews for working miracles in keeping such a collection of aircraft serviceable.
Despite government efforts to blame crews and techies for their own policy outcomes (i.e not forking out for proper hangars, not upgradeing avionics and powerplants).
I do not however owe any respect to people who try and tell me it's great to risk the lives of these esteemable aircrew by failing to accept and learn from history, or just so they can nudge along their private interests.

That's a bit of a turnaround for you FF, last time you were talking about techies you were knocking them.
