While not totally beyond the wildest dreams of possibility I personally can not see it happening, perhaps it is to stop Heli Crew/Flight Crew/Troops from slipping on the deck or the possibility of having foreign Harriers deploy on board to keep the RN up to date with STOVL Operations until the JSF Arrives?

On a UK forum they are saying it would not take too long to possibly re-train former Harrier Pilots and to get about 15 Airborne and utilising the otehr 45 for Spares.

Well a guy I know on a UK forum has a mate who was a RN Harrier techie and some of them have been asked to reform at Culdrose (apparently?) and the rumour is a small Navy Harrier force will be stood back up with the Harriers being based there (Culdrose).
Also circulating is that one Tornado Sqn be saved but one has just gone and the other that is
under the axe is due to disband on May 5th!!
Ah the Internet....!

Would love to see the Harrier fly again though!!
