Having 1 puma for 1 year in the early 1980's should not have any input towards helicopter selection.

FMolloy. good point about the jets or lack of which were hinted at by the DOD.  I forgot about them, don't know how but I did. Can anyone remember the out come of the court case between Eurocopter and the Goverment. Was'nt it settled out of court, with the basis that the tender would be re-opened and some secret settlement between Eurorcopter and the Goverment was entered into. Or was that speculation at the time.

You can never tell what some people know. All Irish Goverments leak info by accident and deliberately, maybe this was leaked somewhere along the line. Look at "poor" Bertie and the the Jerry McCabe situation.
