IrishAirPics.com Store
« on: June 17, 2004, 06:42:49 am »
Hi Guys,

I'm just letting you all know that I'm putting the finishing touches on a store for IrishAirPics.com.  I hope to have it live in a few weeks, I'm just finding it hard to get the time these days.

Initially the store will be selling high quality photographs taken by me, they will be of 12 & 8 inch format, have a matt finish, and they will be developed from the original 2.2mb digital files.

These pictures will be priced at €7.00 each.  Shipping and handling for up to 5 photographs will be €3.00, shipping prices will vary after that.  I have compared prices with other websites and my prices are lower than most of them so I hope you'll find something you like and make a purchase.

I had an initial batch of 20 pictures printed, depending on how these go I'll look into expanding the selection available.  I will also take special orders, if you see a picture of mine dated during or after June 2003 on the website that you like please use the contact form displayed with the picture to let me know.  I will then let you know if it is suitable for printing out or not.

Special orders might cost slightly more unless you don't mind waiting until I order the next batch of pictures, that way it will be the same price as all the other pictures (if the size isn't different that is).

I wouldn't sell these prints unless I was 100% happy with them, it's my reputation I'm selling so you can be guaranteed they are of top quality.

Below are links to some of the pictures I'll be selling in the first batch:

Hopefully I'll also have prints of Air Corps aircraft on sale sometime in the near future.

Regards,

Frank.

I ran our of time last night (at work), that's why I didn't get to post links to all the pictures.  Here they are now, the 9 pictures I will be selling initially, these pictures show exactly what the print will look like:

Frank,

why not make a competition for creating a patch and have the winner made.
You can probarly sell this easy enough.
If you want more info on the costs please let me know as I know the guy who makes these for the RNLAF, BAF, HAF, USAFE, etc.

Hi Guinness,

Patches are another thing I hope to get into in the future.

I'm testing the water at the minute but if things take off I'll expand the range of items available.  I know a few people over here who can help me out with patches but I'll look into it more when the time comes.

Hi Guys,

I made enquiries over the weekend about badges and here is what I found out.....

A Fouga Commemorative Patch is unlikely to be created or approved by the Air Corps, meaning that as it's not an official badge it's general appeal to collectors of militaria would be limited due to the fact that it's not a proper military badge.

Outside of a few enthisiasts it's appeal would be limited, making it financially un-viable.  To be honest I don't think I would buy one if someone else made the badge for that reason alone.

However in saying that, I have enquired about having IrishAirPics.com patches made up, and these would incorporate Fouga 220 as the current logo also does, but the initial cost of my badges (same as with the Fouga badges mentioned above) would be something I can't afford right now, what with me being on the verge or moving into a new house and all.

I have to stress though that the IrishAirPics.com patches would not be commemorative ones, just badges promoting my website.

If someone else wanted to take the risk and design and make the Fouga Commemorative Patches I would be happy to sell them on the website for them.
