Recent Air Show photographs

Hi Guys,

Over the last few weeks pictures from 3 different air shows have been added to the site, unfortunately not a lot of them are mine due to lack of time (and money) but you'll have that.

Anyway, the 3 air shows are Salthill, Fairford & Farnborough, each one of them featured Irish Air Corps aircraft, including a CASA at Fairford and a PC-9M at Farnborough.

Click on a link below to see pictures from that air show.

Farnborough 2004

RIAT 2004 (Fairford)

Salthill 2004

Regards,

Frank.

Nice Pics, Frank. Interesting one of the 2 Red Arrows doing a cross-over, or is this a new secret weapon from the RAF !!!

Nice pictures, the Fouga looked brilliant. How about restoring one for airshow display purposes.

Hi John,

I've no idea when the CASA arrived, I didn't get up to that end of the static park until Sunday morning and when I was there the Air Corps crew weren't at the aircraft.

Frank.

Maybe you should have looked in the direction of the Beer Tent! How're things, Frank? I see they were letting people onto the C5 while you were there, we got on and had a look upstairs, I was also surprised to see that the 'old' Globemaster (not the C17) had been converted to a glass cockpit! The pilots told us that there still wasn't an aircraft that could take it's place for troop deployments, so when they went for Overhaul they got upgraded avionics!
