Fouga,

the RNLAF has no "Huey" but they are AB-412 SAR helicopters based in Leeuwarden AFB.

Guinness.

BTW,

the F-16 was 315 SQN out of Twente AFB.

 ''
Guinness is good for you

Is it not a variant of the Huey and thats the shape it represents i didnt have the proper ID so i mentioned "Huey" as that is what it most resembles.

While were on the subject of that F-16 Tony, did you see it depart??
The ramp crew had wound up the pilots of the Harriers and the F-16 to see who could do the fastest low run after departing. The Harrier's "buzzed the tower"(they were actually below the roof of it and one of them came within I would say 30ft of it!!) but the F-16 definitly done the fastest one with an almost mach 1 run and vertical pull till out of site. There was a story goin around afterwards that the F-16 could be heard calling for tanker support over the Irish sea after the full burner run and climb , but I dont know how true that is?? AH, the last of the good aul days!!!!!

I remember the 'buzzing of the tower', I was part of the FCA platoon drafted in for security the previous night. The Harriers broke & passed either side of the tower, at roof-top level.   '<img'>
