most exotic air force aircraft to visit ireland?

Maybe not the most exotic, but the most unusual I saw in Bal was a 707 that flew in many years ago for a film. The crew did a go-around first time, then a right hand circuit to 29 which allegedly broke windows all over the south city.  The runway was short enough for the landing and take off, but the taxiways only left a matter of inches to spare, especially in the turns.

Freespeed, I remember that 707 also.  However I think the "broken windows" story is probably a bit fanciful.  I lived under the Dublin departure path for years and many a 707, DC-8 or Trident made a noisy departure, but as they were doing well under Mach 1 at the time, no windows were broken!

The storch is the little plane above the junkers in the pics Frank posted and "little nellie" is the auto-giro from a james bond, movie (you only live twice).It was flown at the airshow by  Ken Wallace and he simulated blowing cars up with rockets.......just like bond

Hi all
The 707 was one of McEvaddy's Omega Air aircraft and was formerly of Olympic Airways.It had been cleared VFR across the city, hence it's arrival at 1000' (or less!).It was in Baldonnel for a film.
The Ju52 was in for the filming of the opening sequence of "Caught in a Free State". It was in such bad condition that the crew had great difficulty in starting the engines and took a couple of hours to taxy from the ramp to the end of the runway.One crewman had to stand in the cabin operating a hand-pump to keep the fuel system going.The centre engine's exhaust pipe fell off after take-off and the aircraft ended up in Dublin Airport. It eventually had it's tail torn off in a gale and was, much later, dismantled and roaded out.
The Storch was a French-built MS500 Criquet with a radial engine.It was painted in the colours of JG-54, I think.

Don't forget the AMX, the SIAI 211,MB339's, L139, Saab 105, Numerous Lynx's, Merlins, Sea Kings, Hercules, C9 USN.

There was never a MIG at an air show here. YAK's and Sukhoi alright.

i would love to see a MiG here!would it ever be possible to bring the russian air force aerobatic team the swifts here for a display maybe at an air spectacular sometime in the future!?it would be a nice change from seeing the red arrows every year!red arrows still pretty good though!

Last airshow at the don had a Mig, I was on  the lash with the pilot after the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
