That photo of an Air Corps pilot sitting in a Mig(23 or 27), was taken at IAT 1996.

One of the "Mud Hens" also had a prob with his gear i think he did something to malfunction it and the Casa crew were listening in on the F-15e guys talking about it. 'applause'

hi all
Eagles are deadly enough but not invincible.Wasn't there an intercept by two Jaguars of a four-aircraft formation that "Fox-2'd" a pair of intercepting Eagles? Also, they have, like other fighters, have had a hard time intercepting well-flown low-level attackers in Red Flag.

Its also good to note that at Red Flag and Various exercises Fast Jet pilots have had a hard time trying to out turn an A10 only to have the A10 getting the first gunlock on them! Fact.

BTW i am still trying to get a good pic of LT Cormac Brennan in that MiG, The MiG he is sitting in is from the Czech Republic and the report on it is done by Kmdt Kevin byrne, the article also stated that the pic was taken at RAF Brawdy and that there were some rumours that AC pilots got hops in RAF Hawk AC after the show but that has yet to be proved!
