LOL, Thats the only camcorder in the whole of Slovenia they all share it, Ha. Nah but seriously some interesting stuff from the video i did not know that the Slovenian PC-9Ms were fitted with a form of self-defence aids such as Flares/Chaff release. I wonder is there a huge there a diference between the: Irish PC-9Ms or Slovenian PC-9M Swifts?
Anyone Have any ideas if it would take much to upgrade the IAC PC-9Ms to same standard???

There is one it was made during the last year it is images/film of PC-9Ms Firing in Gormanstown it also features IAC Dauphin and Alouettes in the presentation, I first saw it at the Croke Park Jobs  Opportunities Fair and then again in Baldonnel their the IAC had it on a Laptop there it was a great footage of the PC-9Ms firing the 12.7mm Guns Pods and the Rockets at Ground Targets off Gormanstown and it had a better sound Track LOL!!!

it wouldnt take much to put chaff/flares on the pc9s.the hungarians simply took the flare/chaff packs of their hinds and put them on their old AN26 transports!so it cant be that big a job!but the corps has need for them, unless they want to impress a crowd at salthill with an expensive firework display!
above and beyond

I have the video on DVD and it's quite good. I tried to post a link to the Air Corps website where it is available but it was deleted. Frank how can I upload the copy of the video to the site?

Hi Claudel,

I deleted the link because it was a dead link (well, dead for people outside of the Defence Forces network that is) and there wasn't much point in having it on the board.

If it's on DVD there's no way it can be uploaded, that and the fact that it's too big for the site.

Besides, I'd have to get permission for it to be released into the public domain before I could show it on the site.

Regards,

Frank.

Hi Frank

Thanks for that. I wasn't aware that the DOD had changed the front (index) page of of Military.ie.

The DVD runs to 303MB so I can see your problem.
