Here's a bad video taken while on the formation flight:

http://www.irishairpics.com/video/4_heli_formation_01.mpg (1.7Mb)

Forgive the noise, that's what you get when you are hanging out the open door of an Alouette!

Regards,

Frank.

The Delta Hotel that is still being used is 247 seen it in Limerick about two weeks ago doing some sort of air ambulance job took a few snaps and will post them on soon when the battery in my camera charges.. 'thumbsdown' .. I agree with alot of people who have been posting about these aircraft's, it is a sad day not to see them around, but onwards and unwards for No3 best of luck with your new aircrafts    'pilot_tongue'

Hi.Frank,
Thanks for the great shots! The one against the lake background reminds me of the shots of the first(only?)flight
of all eight Alouettes(I was in tail end charlie),and the shots of the first flight of the Dauphins(I was in lead a/c).
Sad to see them go,even though the Dauphin was a sports car being asked to do the job of a truck in most of its roles.
I hope the new a/c are as good to the crews as the old Alouettes were to us!!Best of luck with them.Safe flying.

Hey Papa 242, I was in front of you in that A111 flight! I've got a photo of that flight taken from the taxiway as we flew over the camerman. It was very hard for the pilots to keep in formation that far back, I can't remember who my pilot was but I do remember how we climbed and dived to keep formation!
I sent you an email last night.
Best wishes, JK

Hi John K,
The second last Alouette in that flight was Blue 3 H195 Flown by Lt. Keegan with Cpl. Nolan also on board, can you confirm?

Hi also Papa 242 the last aircraft was Blue 4 H214 flown by Gabriel Rogers and a certain A/M J Manning. The leading heli was H211 flown by JP as Red Leader and H196 Blue Leader was Ken Byrne. Can't see either of you looking out! Any additions and corrections appreciated.
