GttC, thanks,

I tried my best with this picture. It is a detail taken from bigger photograph, but this wing still can be seen, small part of it, I should say...

And that's it.............for now  '<img'>

FiSe & GttC,
I would say that it is the wing tip (underside ) of an Irish Seafire note the eliptical wingtip and the orange stripe of the national markings, the orange would have faded in colour by this time. That is an interesting point regarding the ex FAA wing I was never aware of that before and never saw it when I was looking through the Seafire wrecks all that time ago. Makes me feel old!

Hi Tony
The ex-FAA wing was standing up on it's leading edge, so that all of it's underside was visible. I can't remember where I saw the picture but I remember it because it was so obviously different than the rest.
