Beauvechain - Belgian Defence Days Air Show

Well Guys,

Seeing as 3 board users are going to this show, (Frank, Guinness & Fouga23), will anyone else be going?

The Air Corps will be there flying the PC-9's as a formation team, they are being referred to as the Silver Swallows but I don't think they are being called that officially yet although I'm open to correction.

Fouga23, what will be happening that weekend, will there be flying only or will there be some involvement with the rest of the Belgian Armed Forces, i.e. tanks, ground tactical demos, etc?  Any possibility of a base attack?  

I'll make sure also to visit your stand, I'll also have a few Euro with me so I can help you get rid of some merchandise!

BTW, will we be taking photos into the sun as at Koksijde or will the sun be behind the crowd at Beauvechain?

Guinness, I booked all the flights, hotel & car last night, woo hoo! Will you be staying in the area overnight or driving down and back home again?  If so what day(s) will you be going?

there will be lots of flying. The idea of the defence days is to show the people alle the componants of our military (air, army, navy, medical). Their will be tanks, aircraft, deathrides,..... all things military. I think their will be some sort of base attack but I'm not sure. Lots of Fouga action though!

Sadly, the lovely T-33AN G-TBRD, which attended Beauvechain, was destroyed in an accident at Duxford on 6 September.  Fortunately the crew escaped before the aircraft was consumed by flames.
